Re eating out – if you want to eat out and not have to modify the menue – is sushi a good option?

    Hi James
This is a great site – well structured and informative. I hope you are getting lots of positive feedback from it.
I would be interested to see some info on coffee 1. for the waistline – How many of your clients drink copious amounts of lattes etc? Is it a carb no no! ?
    2. caffeine to enhance performance – maybe beyond the scope of this site? Have read recently drinking with carbs within 30mins after workout will help restore muscle fuel faster.

    Just quickly,

@Bron: Sushi would be alright after an intense workout, otherwise no.

@Bron: Typically goat will be leaner than lamb, especially if the cut of lamb wasn’t the leanest.

@Tania: With the lattes, you do need to take into account the carbs, protein and fat of the milk. If you are looking to drop some inches off the waistline then I would limit them. If you are going for maximum results, then I would (and have myself), opt for a long black.
With regard to the caffeine post workout, from what I have read, the studies that showed a positive impact used unreasonably large amounts of caffeine. I believe there will be some studies that use ‘normal’ amounts and will follow up for you.

    Hope this helps,

    James

    Hi James
Can you suggest some breathing exercises to do prior to running? I get very puffed for the first 5 or so minutes until I get into a rhythm and thought some breathing exercises might help, just like to do with other muscles in your body.
Do you have stock of the interval trainer? Or are they only obtained via the website.

If you are already doing the warm up I have just posted and are still having trouble, then you might need to be doing some specific breathing exercises. To be honest I don’t know a lot about it so I will research some more.
With the interval trainer you need to grab it through the website. They will send it direct to you. Normally takes a week or so. And they have a pink one now!
    James
