If you know me, then you’ll know that I like things to be simple. Not too much fuss, planning or preparation required. This holds true espeecially when it comes to food preparation. One of the first things I look for in a new recipe is how many ingredients it has. More than a handful and typically I’m onto the next one. Hence why this Waldorf Salad got the thumbs up. Of course, taste is number one when you are actually eating food, so naturally I like this salad, everyone is different and even with this recipe there is a simple hack or two you can add.
Waldorf Salad Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup seedless grapes – green or purple
- 1 apple – cored and chopped (leave the skin on)
- 1/4 Cup walnuts
- 1 stalk of celery chopped
- 1-2 Tablespoons Mayonnaise

Put those ingredients in a bowl and mix them together.
Here are the ways to hack this salad.
- Ditch the grapes. It’s a taste thing more than anything else
- Use Greek Yogurt instead of mayonnaise
There it is, a quick and easy Waldorf salad that goes great with some chicken, adding a lot of sweetness, as well as a great mix of healthy nutrients.
