Blueberry Blender Blast

Here is the latest in my series of quick, tasty, easy and nutritious blender treats.

All you will need today is:

  • 200ml water (or chilled green tea)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries (frozen is my choice)
  • 1/4 cup raw cashews
  • 1/4 cup banana protein powder

First up put the cashews and the water/green tea into a blender and give it up to 60 seconds of blend time. You don’t really want any chunks of cashew in your drink so it’s best to do a little more if you are unsure. Once you have given that a god thrashing, throw in the blueberries and protein powder and blend until its all mixed, but nice and thick as well.

Should take you all of two minutes to make, drink and clean up. No more “I don’t have time to eat well excuses” my friend!

Let me know what you think.

Raspberry Blender Bomb

All of the recipes I post here are generally the result of some trial and error. As you probably know by now, my number one rule when it comes to eating food is that it has to taste good. Gone are the days of holding your nose and dry reaching in an effort to eat well. Say no to bad tasting food and say yes to this next recipe!

Raspberry Blender Bomb

Ingredients

  • 200ml almond milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup whole walnuts
  • 1/4 cup banana protein powder

Now this is where it gets tricky. You have to put all of the ingredients into a blender and blast it for 30-60 seconds.

Maybe it’s not that tricky after all, so that means there are no excuses for not eating well.

It will come out like a raspberry sorbet, but if you leave it for a few minutes (or use thawed/fresh raspberries) it will be a great tropical drink.

This blender bomb is perfect as a snack between meals, or even as a desert. You are getting a nice hit of protein, good carbs, good fats, fibre and a heap of other nutrients.

Best Bodyweight Exercise Ever!

What is the best bodyweight exercise you have done?

I hear some of you saying pushups. Sure they can be tough. But it isn’t unheard of to be able to do 50 or more of these.
Chin ups? I’d say these are harder that pushups given that I have never seen anyone do 50 consecutive chin ups.
I know that not one of my clients has ever asked to do more burpees than I have programmed! So I can guarantee that the old fashioned hard working burpee is up there with being one of the best bodyweight exercises.

But here’s a thought. Maybe not a particularly nice one, but a thought nonetheless.

What if I was to say to you lets do all three together?

Watch the video below for an exercise that will blast your whole body and take your fitness and fat loss to new levels.

Let me know how you go with it. First person to 100 wins a prize!
