Taking Action (One Day At A Time)

by James Kerrison on September 12, 2011

2011 is fast approaching its end.

We are almost into the last 100 days of the year and it has got me thinking.

There are probably lots of things we planned on getting done this year that for one reason or another haven’t got done yet. I know that there are still things on my ‘To Do’ list that have been there for a long time now. In fact there are some things I put there at the start of the year that are still there.

And I’m guessing that not everyone reading this has ticked off all of the things they set out to do at the start of the year. That’s not a problem, its just we need to get out skates on and make it happen before we are setting the same goals for 2o12.

If the results from our 12 Week Challenge (84 days…) are anything to go by then you can make massive changes in 100 days.

Success likes speed, and what this means is that you have to take action. You need to get the ball rolling and get some momentum. Once things are rolling then it is easier to keep going.

Getting started can be the hardest thing but it will be all the little things that add up over 100 days that will give you the big results at the end.

Set yourself the goal of doing one thing per day that is working towards your goal. One thing, that is all. If you are able to do more than one thing then have at it, the more the merrier. Just keep focused and tick off one action item per day.

You will be surprised how much of a difference this can make, and after doing one little thing 100 times, there will be at least one big change if not more.
